Toasting the LABCI Conference
Macmillan English Campus is proud to have been associated with the 10th Biennial LABCI (Latin American Association of British Cultural Institutes) Congress held in Chile last month.
Macmillan English Campus enjoyed a number of high-profile appearances at this prestigious event held in Santiago, Chile – both by day and by night! During the day, the English Campus featured in a number of academic presentations, raising a great deal of interest and enthusiasm amongst those delegates present. Specialist seminars dealing with the English Campus included ‘The Power of Blended Learning’ and ‘Adding Value through Online Learning’, the latter presented by Rei naldo Campos , e-Learning Manager of the Cultura Inglesa in São Paulo, Brazil.
And once the day’s activities were finished, the involvement of Macmillan English Campus continued! We were delighted to be able to host a lively drinks party, held at the renowned Cousiño-Macul vineyard, which followed a fascinating guided tour of the wine-making process.
The LABCI Congress was an ideal forum in which to raise awareness of the new release of Macmillan English Campus, not least because a number of key customers have come from Latin America. These include the Associação das Culturas Inglesas do Nordeste (ACINE) in Brazil and the Instituto Chileno Británico de Cultura (ICBC) in Chile.
LABCI is an organization promoting English language teaching and cultural exchange throughout Latin America. There are associated schools in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay with a combined student population of more than 250,000.
