Macmillan English Campus partners with Study Group

We are delighted to announce that the Macmillan English Campus has recently been rolled out to Study Group’s Embassy CES language centres in the UK.

Study Group International was formed in 1998 and forms part of the Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), a FTSE 100 company. Study Group has teaching centres in the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada and teaches over 35,000 international students every year. The Macmillan English Campus has been introduced to students in Embassy CES schools throughout the UK.

We asked David Rowson, Director of Embassy Language Training Centres UK, for his views on the Macmillan English Campus and the incorporation of an online element into Embassy CES teaching programmes. Here’s what David had to say:

What benefits do you feel blended learning will bring to your students?

For a few years now we have felt that the traditional teacher-fronted delivery mode was becoming outdated. We have therefore been looking at introducing a variety of more modern ways of delivering our classes to provide a more interesting classroom experience for our students. This should better mirror how they are taught in their own school systems.

Therefore, our new direction is motivated by pedagogic concerns as well as by the need to meet ever-changing student expectations.

Why did Embassy CES select the Macmillan English Campus?

Having done extensive research into providers of online teaching resources we felt that the English Campus was the most innovative and the best value for money.
