Macmillan English Campus announces a number of new posts

The Macmillan Publishing Group is delighted to announce that Emma Shercliff has taken over as Managing Director of Macmillan English Campus.

Emma is a qualified ELT teacher and has worked for the British Council in Iran. She is also an experienced publisher, with international roles at both Macmillan and Hodder Education.

Emma's promotion is intended to consolidate and continue this momentum. Emma will also oversee the development of the recently re-launched onestopenglish website (www.onestopenglish.com).

Emma will be replaced as Sales and Marketing Director by John Murray. John joins Macmillan English Campus from Cambridge University Press where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of print and software products into schools and colleges. John brings with him considerable knowledge of the electronic publishing world and his experience as Sales and Marketing Director for the Cambridge-Hitachi project will be particularly valuable as MEC endeavours to develop IWB-compatible content for the English Campus.

Finally, Jane Wright has taken up the post of Sales and Marketing Manager for Macmillan English Campus in the Group's regional offices in Mexico City.

Jane will be supporting a number of language teaching institutions already using the English Campus in Mexico and Latin America as well as developing new leads. She will also be offering Macmillan English Campus a presence at major trade fairs and exhibitions in the region, including the MexTESOL event for English language teachers, which took place in Leon, Guanajuato, from the 12th-15th October this year (see image right).

These new appointments reflect the ongoing success of the Macmillan English Campus worldwide as well as the increased commitment and investment in ELT electronic publishing by the Macmillan Publishing Group.
